Materials you need

  • A cardboard box of suitable size (not much bigger than the bag)
  • Filler paper or tissue paper
  • A dust bag or thin protective poly bag
  • Packing tape and a shipping label
  • Optional: a thank-you card, brand sticker

Step-by-step packaging

  1. Protect the shape: Stuff the inside of the bag with filler paper so the corners don't collapse.
  2. Protect metal parts: Wrap paper around clasps and buckles to prevent scratches.
  3. Place the strap: Lay the strap inside or beside the bag without folding it, so it doesn't leave a permanent crease.
  4. Dust bag: Put the bag in a dust bag or poly bag.
  5. Place it in the box: Fill the gaps with paper; the product should not move when the box is shaken.
  6. Seal and label: Apply the tape in an H pattern and place the label on a flat surface.

Reducing shipping costs

  • Choose a box that fits the product; a large box increases volumetric weight costs.
  • Ship multiple products in the same package.
  • Share your shipping volume with carriers to get negotiated rates.

If there is damage on delivery

Remind your customer to check the package in front of the courier and, if there is damage, to have a damage report filed. For damaged packages, photos and a damage report speed up the process. For shipments made through Çanta Bayim, see the delivery terms page for the procedure.

Packaging in dropshipping
