Why does it make sense to add bags to your clothing site?
When online clothing shoppers choose a dress or a jacket, they also think about how to style it. When your site offers matching bags, customers complete their outfit in your cart instead of on another site. That means selling more products from the same visit.
Bags also avoid the size and fit issues that are common in apparel. Presented with accurate measurements and good images, they are an easy category to manage. And with the no-stock model, you remove inventory risk, the biggest cost of opening a new category.
Opening a new category often starts with one question: “What if it doesn't sell?” In the no-stock model, the cost of that question is low. You add the product to your site and order as sales come in. Unsold models never pile up on your hands; you simply remove them from your site and add new ones. This flexibility lets you shape your bag category step by step according to your customers' real interest.
Important note: Çanta Bayim does not sell clothing or shoes; we supply bags and bag accessories to add to your clothing store.
How does selling bags without stock work?
- Open a dealer account: Apply via the Become a dealer page.
- Choose products and add them to your site: Pick the models you want to sell; download product images from the dealer panel and use them on your site.
- Receive the order: Your customer orders from your website or account.
- Pass the order to us: You create an order from a single piece with your dealer account; the product price is deducted from your dealer balance.
- Shipping: We ship the product directly to your end customer.
For details of the model, see the bag dropshipping page.
Shipping flow by order channel
- Website and Instagram orders: Your customer pays you in advance by bank transfer. We can dispatch the shipment; in that case the shipping fee is deducted from your dealer balance. If you prefer, you can also have it shipped with your own cargo tracking code. For the Instagram-specific flow, see the Instagram dropshipping page.
- Marketplace orders: Orders from marketplaces such as Trendyol are shipped with the marketplace's barcode.
Keep in mind that cash on delivery is not available; you need to set up your sales on a prepaid basis.
Import products to your site via XML
If you'd rather import products to your site in bulk instead of adding them one by one, an XML dealership is right for you. Approved dealers receive an XML link containing product, stock and price information. If your e-commerce platform supports XML import, you can build your bag category with this link and keep stock information up to date. For application and terms, see the bag XML dealership page.
Which method you choose depends on the size of your site. If you want to test the category with a small number of bags, adding products manually and working with dropshipping may be enough. If you want a broad bag category with regularly updated product information, an XML link makes your work easier. Either way, orders go through your dealer account.
Which bags should a clothing site start with?
- Everyday outfit bags: Shoulder bags, handbags and crossbody bags pair easily with any style. Crossbody bag models are a particularly good fit for sites selling youth and sportswear.
- Occasion bags: If you sell evening wear or dresses, clutches, envelope bags and evening bags complete the look.
- Accessories: Wallets and card holders are small products that are easy to add to the cart.
- Colour matching: Highlight bags that match the best-selling clothing colours on your site.
A few tips to boost sales
Add a “bag that goes with this outfit” section to your clothing product pages and include the bag in your outfit photos. On bag pages, state dimensions, strap length and interior compartments clearly; this information makes the customer's decision easier. Add bags to your menu as a separate category, but also show them as outfit suggestions within your clothing categories so customers see them without searching. During campaigns, posts that feature clothing and bags together present the outfit idea ready-made. To grow bag sales in-store and online, you can also read our article on how to increase bag sales in a clothing store.
After launching your bag category, regularly track which models attract interest. Updating the image or description of products that get many views but few sales, and replacing those that draw no interest with new ones, keeps your category fresh.
As your sales data builds up, if you want to stock your best-selling models, you can also place a mixed wholesale order of at least 15 pieces in total across different models and colours.
